Sometimes, I want to use Zoom but I don't want the issues of the automatic grouping in Breakout Rooms. It never fails: When I pop to certain groups no one is there or there is little collaboration.
I also worry about Zoom bombing (I do not use the waiting room feature anymore. After reading this game-changing information, I learned how to adjust my settings to prevent (as much as possible) Zoom bombing. Logistically, it is a nightmare to be continuously hearing the "doorbell" and letting kids into my Zoom room. I can play a music video while the kids come into the classroom (Roomies) and while others enter the Zoom room (Zoomies). UPDATE: Zoom has been updated to allow teacher grouping of Breakout Rooms as well as the ability to rename the rooms. This could be used with rotation statements so students will know what they still need to do.

Lately, I've been finding phenomenal ideas in my Facebook groups. When I miss something great, usually a colleague (Lorena, Lisa W., Melicia, Dori) points it out. We simply tag each other. Most of the time, the resources are ideas that we can adapt with a little bit of thought and creativity.
Relatively new resource. Found resources for No lo Tengo. Some were ready to go, others were adapted.
Resources in the Drive include slide shows, assessments, digital resources, games, etc.

I have used Canva as a design tool but saw that I could access every feature for free as a verified teacher.
There are TONS of templates, icons, fonts, Zoom backgrounds, slide show themes, worksheets, graphic organizers, Jamboards, manipulatives, etc. Here are a few things that I adapted or created for our department: |
